FPV drones are born as “racing drones” completely self-built and initially used only for competitions.
The acronym FPV means “First Person View” because these drones are piloted via a viewer (Goggles). The pilot receives real-time images inside the viewer (Goggles) from the drone’s camera and for this reason it is called “first person piloting” (FPV)
The biggest difference between Video Shooting made with an FPV Drone and those made with Stabilized Drones is the flight mode. FPV Drones are completely devoid of automatisms, each command is manual and the flight control of the drone is entirely in the hands of the pilot. This makes it possible to perform any type of movement, acrobatics, evolutions, completely new images, from a unique perspective.
VERY FAST! FPV drones are able to reach considerable speeds, with peaks of 150km/h, this speed combined with the agility of these vehicles make them perfect for adrenaline-pumping chases, cameracars, sports video shooting, but also to spectacular and quieter “bird's eye view” aerial shots This video is a clear example of the type of video footage that can be made with these drones.
There are various types of FPV Drones, one for every need.
“Standard” FPV Drone: 5 and 7 inches, this drone thanks to its power and agility is perfect for making spectacular high-speed chases, adrenaline-pumping shots with a high visual and emotional impact, but in addition to this it is also possible to make landscape shots at “Bird’s Flight” perfect for documentaries and Virtual Tours.
Cinewhoop and FPV Micro Drones: these small and light FPV Drones are perfect for indoor video shooting, Virtual Tours, events, concerts, etc.
Their size, weight and propeller protections make them totally harmless to people and objects. The Drone is equipped with a lightened version of the latest and most performing actionCam on the market.
Cinelifter FPV: this type of FPV Drone was born from the need to have cinematic image quality while maintaining the same performance as a “Standard” FPV Drone, our Cinelifter FPV are able to carry cameras such as the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, RED Komodo, Wave FreeFly (1000fps) and Cine lenses.
Video footage made with an FPV drone is becoming more and more in demand, they are starting to appear in various television programs and in the commercials of major brands, this has meant that the market and its needs have changed.
FPV drones have always been paired with the best performing Action-Cam on the market (GoPro), but now, given the enormous potential of this technique and the positive impact it has on the public. Directors, video makers and production companies need to mount more performing cameras to obtain cinematic quality images.
Here are our Cinelifter FPV, a full-fledged FPV Drone but capable of mounting Cameras such as the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, RED Komodo, Wave FreeFly (1000fps) and Cine lenses.
